I only got to watch the first half of the ISU-OK State game last night, but the much-improved Cowboys seemed to be getting a lot of production from a couple of their big men. When I checked the box score after the game, the stats confirmed it (revealing that David Monds had also been quietly involved). Aside from the satisfaction of seeing Curtis Stinson (a.k.a. The Mouth) lose again, the sight of Boggan running the floor for transition dunks and Johnson hitting baseline jumpers is a little disquieting. Mario Boggan, 6-foot-7: 23 points, 9 rebounds David Monds, 6-foot-8: 8 points, 10 rebounds Torre Johnson, 6-foot-6: 20 points, 5 rebounds If Boggan, Monds and Johnson show up again tonight, KU's post players will face a stiff challenge. The 'Hawks front line is taller, but the Cowboys looked more explosive last night. Aside from wanton turnovers, inconsistent post play is the Jayhawks' Achilles heel, so with the NCAAs around the corner, this game will be revealing.
