Point guard Kelly Kohn of Adrian, Michigan, committed to the KU Women's Hoops program last week, choosing the Jayhawks over a host of other schools. Kelly is her high school's all time leading scorer, with 1,306 points going into her senior year. Kelly's older sister, Lauren, is number two on that list, so basketball runs in this family. Kelly averaged 21.2 points, 7 boards, 5 steals, and 4 assists per game as a junior. That is a pretty impressive stat line.
Asked by Sean Trapp of her hometown paper, the Daily Telegram, about her reasons for choosing KU, Kelly cited Coach Henrickson as a major reason for her decision, but also mentioned facility upgrades and the incoming talent to Lawrence as key factors.
