Nevada returns the much-heralded Nick Fazekas to a lineup that also includes Marcelus Kemp and Mo Charlo. Those are the three names you'll need to remember, as they're responsible for about 72% of Nevada's scoring. Wolfpack coach (and Kansas native) Mark Fox says they're a lot deeper team than last year, and they are, but that doesn't change the fact that a significant majority of their production is coming from three players.
Still, I think they'll be very tough for KU to beat. If we take care of the ball like we did against Arizona and Arkansas, we'll lose. If we play consistently, keep Kaun and/or Giles out of foul trouble, and get a few more assists than turnovers, I think we've got a good shot of winning.
With Allen Fieldhouse rocking and more than a week of preparation, I think KU gets an early season win over a ranked opponent. But I don't think it will be a blowout.
