Former KU Safety, Rodney Harris, will be back in uniform for the fighting Manginos next year, according to the KC Star. He left the team for a year for personal reasons, but he has continued to work out and is reported to be in great shape. He has been taking classes at a community college in California, where he has been living, and he'll have one year of eligibility remaining. Harris is a hard hitting, instinctive safety. He is fast. Fans may remember a great 10-tackle game he had against Texas in 2004. He also led the team in interceptions that year.
Mangino apparently told Harris that he was welcome to return to the team at any time, and they kept the lines of communication open. This is a very good development for the 'hawks!
