Rush named preseason All-American

Moving on to some better news

Kansas sophomore guard Brandon Rush was named to The Associated Press preseason All-America team on Tuesday. Rush, a Kansas City native, led the Jayhawks with 13.5 points per game as a freshman last season.

North Carolina sophomore Tyler Hansbrough of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was the top vote-getter, as chosen by the same panel that selects The Associated Press' weekly college basketball poll. Joining Rush and Hansbrough were juniors Joakim Noah of Florida, Ronald Steele of Alabama and Glen Davis of LSU.
